Partner Agencies are organizations that have a proven relationship with United Way and have demonstrated their ability to affect change in community conditions. Their programs and mission align with those of United Way and address one or more of our focus areas.

Alliance for Literacy
Fosters increased literacy in Gainesville/Hall County by promoting education for adults in basic skills, reading, English as a Second Language and GED Preparation.

Provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Daily youth development program for children and teens in the areas of education, arts, recreation, sports and leadership.

CASA
Court Appointed Special Advocates

Provides trained, screened and supervised community volunteers to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children whose situations require court intervention.

Challenged Child & Friends
Provides children ages 6 weeks to 6 years with disabilities and their typical peers state-of-the-art therapeutic, educational, nursing and family counseling services in an integrated environment

Children's Center for Hope and Healing
Community treatment program for victims of child sexual abuse. Prevention programs to break the cycle of child sexual abuse and the victimization of children.

Gateway Domestic Violence Center
Provides shelter, crisis intervention and comprehensive support services for victims of domestic violence and their children. Provides outreach and community education for the prevention of domestic violence.

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia
Comprehensive youth development program for girls ages 5 – 17.

Good News Clinics
Primary health and dental care to those who are medically indigent provided largely by volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and technicians.

The Guest House
Provides health monitoring, medication management, personal care services, therapeutic activities and social services for frail elderly who have medical problems, memory loss or other impairments that cause them to need assistance with activities of daily living.

Rape Response
Provides a support system and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault while making educational services available to the community.

The Salvation Army
Provides a safety net of services for those in need: casework assistance (help with financial needs such as rent, utility bills, medication and food); housing in the lodge or transitional apartments.

Summer Scholars Program
A four-week program offered by Gainesville State College and University  in which approximately 200 middle and high school students participate in educational experiences on the college campus.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention
Provides comprehensive and age-appropriate pregnancy prevention programming and community education and awareness programs.

Community Partners are programs, ideas, collaboratives, initiatives, projects - its an opportunity for United Way to invest time and talent  and sometimes funding in new or innovative relationships that improve lives in Hall County.

Hall County Family Connection Network
The Hall County Family Connection Network is the official planning and advocacy body for children, youth, and families in Hall County. They are part of Family Connection, a Georgia statewide initiative of 159 community collaborative partnerships committed to making measurable improvements for children and families in Georgia.

Federal Emergency Food & Shelter Program
Supplements the work of local social service organizations, both private and governmental, to help homeless and hungry individuals in need of emergency assistance.

Connects individuals in Hall County to the help they need by providing information and referrals to available health and human services. 

Drug Free Coalition of Hall County
Empowers the community to choose a drug-free lifestyle by uniting citizens and organizations to reduce or eliminate substance abuse among youth and adults.
